Lighting designer Staci Ruiz has been collaborating with interior designers, architects, and homeowners to produce exceptional interiors in New York City and beyond for more than 30 years. Whether she’s updating a prewar apartment, revamping an historic townhouse, or outfitting a glass-walled loft, Staci understands how to combine architectural and decorative lighting to form stunning spaces that define a home.

Staci’s methodical, three-step process—design, specification, installation—applies to all her projects, from ground-up construction to spotlighting a single piece of art and everything in between.

Regardless of scope, Staci begins by asking her clients questions so she can understand their style, their budget, and the architectural quirks of their space. She then curates a selection of lighting, develops a reflected ceiling plan, and oversees the purchasing and installation processes. Staci remains engaged until every dimmer, sconce, and recessed downlight has been tested and all light levels have been adjusted. “I make sure my clients can walk into their home, push a button, and feel transported.”
